WHATSAPP COMMUNITY CHANNELS

How did you feel after the experience and why? 

I enjoyed creating the overarching foundation for the individual community channels (which essentially act as extended and more advanced group chats) and the individual channels themselves. Furthermore, receiving positive feedback from my classmates and seeing high levels of engagement (right off the start and consistently over multiple weeks so far) gave me a sense of accomplishment. Lastly, leaving my comfort zone by taking on a (somewhat) leadership position and being able to select classmates to be admins (those who were very engaged and interested in being community admins) was surprisingly enjoyable, too. 

What went well during this experience and why? 

The overall execution of the project, as I had planned, went very well, with DP Grade 12 classmates showing exceptional interest and engagement in the platform I had created. 

What would you do differently when/if you do it again? Why? 

If I were to create something similar again (which I possibly will, but for Grade 11) as a future CAS experience or project, I would change the following things.

1.  Try to provide a set of helpful resources

2.  Providing a set of helpful study guides. With me possibly creating my own (as additional CAS experiences) for the select few subjects that I am very good at, such as Biology and Business Management (i.e., the subjects that I consistently & exclusively achieve 5s, 6s, and 7s in) 

3.  Create a proper "Announcements" channel with updates to be a more easily digestible student weeklies alternative.
